The Kinston-Lenoir County Public Library is happy to announce the little bank Computer Center is now open to the public. This computer lab features 38 computers that are capable of both public use and training for staff and patrons. The construction of the lab was finished during Phase Two of construction, which ended this month. Phase Three, the final phase of construction, will be complete in May. The Library would like to invite the citizens of Kinston and Lenoir County to visit the computer lab at their earliest convenience. For more information on the Library's expansion and renovation project, please call 527-7066, Ext. 130. |

Mayor Buddy Ritch of the City of Kinston and Paul Taylor, Chairman of the Lenoir County Board of Commissioners, present the proclamation declaring April 13-19 as National Library Week in both the county and city, to Agnes W. Ho, Director of Libraries for the Neuse Regional Library System. The proclamations call public libraries “places of opportunity, education and self-help” and commend the Neuse Regional Library for showing “exemplary leadership” in the state for being “a place of discovery and lifelong learning for people of all ages.” The Kinston-Lenoir County Public Library will present a wide variety of events to the public during this week, including an open house for the recently completed Children’s Room and computer lab, crafts, an open mic poetry slam, a family-friendly comedian, and much more. For more information on National Library Week, please contact the Library at 252-527-7066, Ext. 130. |
