Expansion and Phase One Opening
On September 18, the Kinston Lenoir-County Public Library was visited by public officials, donors, and community leaders as it opened the doors to Phase One of its Expansion and Renovation Project. Phase One is the most intensive phase of the renovation and includes the new Schechter Auditorium (which will be used as a staff area during Phase Two), the new Brody Conference Room, Circulation, and a Periodical/Young Adult Area which will serve as the temporary home of the Children’s Room. Phase Two, which will begin immediately, will include the renovation of staff areas and the Children’s Room. The Library will remain open through the renovation, which is scheduled to be complete next summer. |
