Friends of the Library
Become a Friends of the Library Member
The Friends of the Library began a membership drive in June for the year 2007-2008. We are actively seeking new members and reminding all current Friends of the Library of the opportunity to renew their membership. The frequent and popular programs that are presented by the Friends of the Library would not be possible without the support of generous patrons like you. For information on joining the Friends of the Library, please call 252-527-7066, Ext. 130.
Upcoming Friends of the Library sponsored programs include:
An ICE CREAM SOCIAL to celebrate the end of summer and beginning of the school year for Children's Department (August).
NATIONAL LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH, a popular event created to encourage those who do not have a library card to obtain one, and those who do have a current library card to use it (September).
THIRTEENTH ANNUAL STORYTELLING FESTIVAL, an all-day festival in which storytellers from across the state share their talents and tales with children and adults (October).
DR. ELLIOT ENGEL, presents his extremely popular new literary lecture on The Brilliance of Robert Burns (October).
