The Kinston-Lenoir County Friends of the Library are pleased to announce the receipt of a grant award of $1,000 from the Wells Fargo Foundation Community Partner Program to fund a community read throughout Lenoir County.  Allen Clayton, Market President of Wells Fargo for Wayne and Lenoir County, and Sandy Fisher, Wells Fargo Business Associate, presented Agnes W. Ho, Director of Libraries, with the check.

The community read made possible by this funding will be centered on one book chosen by the Library that has special relevance in regards to social and cultural diversity. More information will be available on the community read in the coming months.

“We are ecstatic to receive this grant award from such a well-regarded business,” said Ho.  “Wells Fargo and its Charitable Foundation are pillars of our community and we are extremely grateful for their continued support of our mission.  Their contribution will greatly assist us in providing local citizens with diverse programming that will promote literacy throughout Lenoir County.  We look forward to continuing to work with Wells Fargo towards improving the cultural landscape of our community.”
