New Resources Available Through NC LIVE

NC LIVE offers free electronic access to resources for all ages on topics ranging from careers, business, and investing to health, history, and genealogy. Online materials such as ebooks, audiobooks, videos, magazines, newspapers, journals, language-learning tools are also available through NC LIVE and designed for at-home use. Access to all NC LIVE resources are available from any Internet connection via NCLIVE.org. You may access NC LIVE at home by using an up-to-date and fine free library card.

Biography Reference Center: A biography database of in-depth profiles from Current Biography and World Authors, the periodical coverage of Biography Index, and specialist content from Junior Authors & Illustrators.

NoveList: A resource that offers suggestions of books a reader may enjoy based on what they’ve already read. NoveList provides recommendations on fiction, nonfiction, and audiobook.

Mango Languages: Language learning software with courses in over 70 languages, including English.

SIRS Discoverer: Articles, nonfiction books, images, activities, and websites curated for educational relevance, age appropriateness, and readability.  Designed specifically for elementary and middle school students.
