Dear Potential Sponsor:
For nearly three decades, the Kinston-Lenoir County Friends of the Library has been an integral part of our Library’s success. Two years ago we began a Corporate Membership drive to make local business aware of the opportunity to support our Friends organization and make a significant positive impact on our community. With the support of our Corporate Friends, the Library was able to offer 675 programs that were attended by 24,257 Lenoir County citizens between July of 2014 and June of 2015. Our Friends have also empowered the Library to provide specialized educational and recreational youth programming and services, enabling us to give our community’s children the tools they need to become the leaders and innovators of tomorrow. The Friends help provide patrons of all ages with cultural enrichment.
A contribution by your business or organization will aid the Friends of the Library in providing the best literacy services and programming possible to our patrons. Donations by Corporate Friends of the Library will continue to be recognized in the following categories, named for prestigious children’s awards:
Newbery $500 or more
Caldecott $250 to $499
Wilder $100 to $249
The Corporate Friends of the Library donor list will be published in our monthly calendar, on our website, in our email mailing list, and on a special display in the lobby of the Headquarters Library. All donors will also receive a beautifully designed decal to place in the windows of their business so that your customers or clients will be aware of your generosity as a Corporate Friend of the Library. In addition, corporate sponsors who make donations of $500 or more will be given the opportunity to individually sponsor a Friends program and be mentioned in all promotional materials for the event, including in The Free Press and in other media.
Membership materials are enclosed for your consideration. We hope that you will take advantage of this exciting opportunity to support your Library and assist us in offering a broad range of wonderful programs to our community. Together, we can make a tremendous impact on the future of Lenoir County.
