Lotus Lanterns

In recognition of Korean American Day, the La Grange Public Library will host a hybrid lotus lantern craft class led by Yon Han of the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project.  The lotus grows in a swamp or pond, but is not tainted by the mud and has a clear and subtle fragrance.  This natural characteristic has been used as a symbol of purity, nobility, and sublimity.  With those characteristics, who wouldn’t want to make one?

Participants must register for this event in person at the LGPL to receive their craft kit and Zoom link with the password.  Intended for ages five and up.
