MasterChef Jr.
Monthly program for school-aged children 12 and under to learn food literacy practices through fun hands-on activities. Participants will learn to read recipes, nutritional information, how to use cooking equipment and utensils all to prepare dishes that they can enjoy!
Guest Kelly Tyndall of NC Lenoir County Cooperative Extension will present these monthly programs. This month we will focus on heart healthy foods and showcase a turkey and cucumber sandwich served on whole grain bread. A small demonstration of a fruit smoothie will also be shared.
